HOW BE ME CAME ABOUT?

I have been a passionate Early Childhood Educator for over thirty years, teaching both children and adults.

The BE ME vision started several years ago when I observed a group of four year old children in a preschool in a rural village in southern India. These children practised mindfulness. It made me weep to see how centred and connected the children were to themselves and each other as they went about their daily routine.

I knew BE ME could have a place in the early childhood sector in the world we live in, particularly as anxiety, stress and depression rates are on the rise. The BE ME program promotes management of emotions and a deeper connection to oneself from early childhood.

BE ME aims to give educators and children the SIMPLE tools they need to develop mindfulness practices as part of their daily routine.
